How can I clean the breast pump?

Please clean and disinfect the breast pump before the first use. It is preferable to wash it with water and soap and let it dry by air. It is not dishwasher safe as the parts will be damaged when exposed to a temperature of 100°C. Non-washable parts: The motor contains a battery therefore it should be dry at all times. A clean cloth can be used to clean the motor. Any other cleaning method will be classified as misuse under the warranty. Washable Parts: Valve – Diaphragm – Flange – Milk Collector – Linker. Step by step cleaning process: Separate and rinse the parts in 25-30 °C water to remove milk residue. Soak all washable parts in 40-60 °C water and soap for 3-5 minutes. Rinse all separated parts with water. Place parts on a clean surface or towel and allow them to air dry.

Some parts require replacement regularly to maintain the performance of the device. If you notice there is a loss in suction in the device, the first thing you should do is check the parts of the device if there is any damage, wear, fraying, or stretching.

Do not expose the motor to any form of liquid (water, milk…etc.) which will lead to ruining the battery. Wash all parts in warm water and soap. Do not put any part in the dishwasher. Ensure all parts are dry before assembling and attaching them to the battery. Do not put the parts in a sterilizer or expose any part of the device to a temperature of 100 °C. Do not lean back or bend over too far when using the device as it could cause leakage. Ensure all parts are assembled correctly to avoid leakage and lack of suction. Be cautious not to drop the device.

How to pick the correct flange size?

Picking the correct flange size will allow you to pump comfortably without any pain. Method 1 (normal ruler): Hold the ruler at a perpendicular angle and line the 0 scale with your nipple base at the same horizontal line, also with the ruler edge meet your areola and get the millimeters number between the nipple base and nipple top. Method 2 (Nipple ruler): Place your nipple into the holes one by one to find out which one you can comfortably fit your nipples into, in a way that your nipple can be out through the hole totally, also the ruler can touch the areola at the same time.
